The Journal of Forensic Science and Research (JFSR) is dedicated to publishing high-quality forensic science research. To ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with international publishing standards, authors must carefully follow these Submission Guidelines and Manuscript Preparation Instructions.
Submission Process
- All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the OJS platform.
- Submissions must include a cover letter, manuscript file, figures, tables, and supplementary files (if applicable).
- Each submission must confirm originality and compliance with ethical standards.
Manuscript File Format
Preferred file format is Microsoft Word (.docx). Figures should be submitted as separate high-resolution files (.tif, .jpg, or .png).
Structure of Manuscripts
Articles must be structured as follows:
- Title Page: Title, author details, affiliations, corresponding author information.
- Abstract: 250–300 words, structured with Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
- Keywords: 4–6 keywords relevant to the study.
- Main Body: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion.
- References: Must follow Vancouver (NLM) style.
Manuscript Preparation Details
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, double-spaced.
- Margins: 1 inch on all sides.
- Figures: Minimum 300 dpi, with captions provided separately.
- Tables: Numbered consecutively, with clear titles and legends.
- Length: No strict word limit, but manuscripts must be concise and focused.
References
JFSR adheres strictly to the Vancouver style (NLM). References should be numbered consecutively in the order cited and listed at the end of the manuscript.
Ethics and Compliance
Authors must ensure compliance with ethical standards in research involving humans, animals, or sensitive material. Documentation of ethical approval and informed consent must be provided.
Supplementary Materials
Authors may provide supplementary datasets, multimedia files, and appendices. These should be submitted as separate files with clear labeling.
Resubmission and Revisions
Revised manuscripts must include a detailed response to reviewers' comments. All changes should be clearly marked in the revised manuscript file.
