Abstract

Blood pattern analysis is a discipline that uses the field of biology, physics and mathematics widely used in forensic science to reconstruct the activities involving bloodstain. Most of the studies are derived from experiments on rough and porous surfaces, limiting their applicability to real cases dominated by rough and irregular surfaces. This analysis critically examines the behaviour of blood droplets on rough surfaces (Cemented floor, cemented wet floor and cloth) chosen a particular season i.e., Rainy with the same angle and same height of 5.5 feet on different objects of rough and porous surface, For the analysis of blood Stain pattern the real human blood stain is taken from hospital and volunteer- only after the approval of hospital authorities and volunteer consent. The study and analysis is focusing on Passive blood stain deposition and the effect of surface topography (Porous surface) and environmental variables. The analysis identifies key research gaps and proposes a multi parameter texture for advancing blood pattern analysis on complex surface.
